Rene Diaz received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia before attending Regent University, where he received both a Master’s Degree and a Juris Doctorate degree.
Before becoming a partner at Diaz Jacob, LLC, Mr. Diaz was appointed in 2004 as the Presiding Judge of the 224th District Court of Bexar County by then Governor Rick Perry.
Mr. Diaz is admitted to practice law throughout the State of Texas and in the Western, Northern, and Southern Districts of the Texas Federal Courts where he uses his over 18 years of civil litigation experience to provide solutions for his clients.
His firm focuses on family law and alternative dispute resolution, business law, employment law, real estate law, construction law, Constitutional law, estate planning and probate,
and personal injury cases.
Prior to his appointment as a District Court Judge, Mr. Diaz served as General Counsel for the Republican Party of Texas, participated in the Texas Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives, and the Texas Commissioner of the OneStar National Service Commission.
Currently, Mr. Diaz is a lecturer for the San Antonio Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas and serves on the Boards of both the Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center and the Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio. He is also a member of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
